Predatory mites Amblyseius cucumeris (thrips)

Predatory mites Amblyseius cucumeris (thrips)

Predatory mite with good effect against thrips.

Using beneficial organisms against pests is the most biological way of pest control. Thrips suck plant sap and cause light spots and brown edges on plant leaves. The predatory mite of the species Amblyseius cucumeris is a natural enemy of thrips. It stings young thrips larvae and sucks them dry.

Application: Cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, ornamental plants, houseplants

We generally recommend appointments every 4-6 weeks.

Predatory mites migrate from the bags, which also represent small breeding units, to the cultures over a period of 3-6 weeks.

Group your plants so that enough leaf mass touches each other and hang the bags in each group; use one bag for each individual plant. No chemicals may be used during the treatment with predatory mites, i.e. no insecticides! Since the predatory mites can only fight the larvae, it is highly recommended that you shower your plant beforehand. Adult thrips or other pests must be removed manually during the treatment...
